Over the working week, Ben and I had worked with the engineering staff at HeliOps in Portland. We primarily got hands on with Before Flight and After Flight checks on the Sea Kings, washing them down, and working really well with the team. Alongside this, we worked with classified aircraft with classified futures! Over the days we had Sea Kings flying around, and on the final day we had a flight of two Chinooks arrive from RAF Odiham, as well as a Merlin refuelling and parking up for night ops training. Overall, this was a very good training opportunity, especially to get hands-on with aircraft which is not what happens on your usual school day.
